looking into - Just Us Parents

Homeschooling Michaela.

George is going to call tomorrow for the cyber school and get some information and hopefully have them answer the list of questions we have.
Then we will weigh our options on which course of action is best. Either leave her in regular public school or take her out and do this with her.
Even though we are in one of the best school districts in the state she is still not grasping what she needs to and the teachers are not helping as much as we would like them too.

So are you giving up on the idea of going back to work? 'cause you can't take her out of school to homeschool to then have to take a job and send her back into school.

What does she think of homeschooling?

We've got both Garrett and Katie in an online school. Garrett is doing pretty well so far, all A's and B's. I think Katie will get all A's. To me it's pretty darn close to homeschooling but with help from teachers online and he has a counselor he can call anytime. It's been nice not working so I can help Garrett get accustomed to it, I wish I could stay a SAHM but we need the money.

No I don't think I have to give up going back to work. I still am. I don't believe that working will have any effect on her schooling when George works second shift...

So it is working well for you that is great. The school we are looking at is similar and it has concellers available as well. We are in the same situation as you that I have to work also. But for us George does work second shift so he can oversee what is going on if I work days.

We got an e-mail back saying they were going to call us this week and talk to us about it.

It's working very well so far. Garrett is doing well, Katie hasn't started yet but I'm sure she'll do fine. Garrett is getting into the swing of doing most of it on his own. I've taught him how to copy and paste the assignments into a word doc so he can print them and study them. He's getting the hang of it.
